WORLD WATER DAY (intermediate)

Water is a basic need for us. Life wouldn't be possible on Earth without it. And it might seem that there's plenty of it on our blue planet, but the fact is that only three per cent of the water is fresh, and it is not distributed evenly: some areas of the world have a lot, while it is very scarce in some others. A tap is not available for millions of people, who hardly have access to any water at all.

Listen to Leonardo DiCaprio and learn about the problems we face if we don't start using this fundamental resource wisely.

SUCCESS (upper intermediate)

Is there one meaning to the word? Or does it have different meanings for different people?
For some it may mean happiness, wealth for others, power for many, perhaps.

Or even money.

Whatever objective one may have in mind, one word seems to be the key: PASSION.

Steve Jobs mentions one other key. Can you name it?

Is there a key to success in life? What do you think?

HAPPINESS (intermediate)

The 20th of March was chosen in 2012 as the International Day of Happiness. Happiness seems to be a fundamental goal for most of us. But, what exactly does the word mean? And where does happiness lie? Can it stay or does it last a moment?

There are many possible answers, I would say. Let's read some ideas about it.
